Our veterinarians available to see appointments Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm and from 8:00am to 4:00pm on Saturdays. We also welcome drop-off appointments available for those whose schedule prevents them from staying for an appointment. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Veterinary emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency and prepare for your arrival.
We have a veterinarian and full service staff on site 6 days a week to handle your urgent situation. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular situation. We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments.
If an emergency occurs after normal office hours, our doctors try to available for phone consultation and treatment of minor emergencies through our emergency call service. Call our normal office number to be connected to our doctor on call. If our doctors are not available you will be referred to a nearby emergency care facility.
We are pleased to offer complimentary medicine and acupuncture at Canyon Animal Hospital. Dr. Lauren Brower has trained in both acupuncture and herbal medicine. She completed her acupuncture training in 2008 and is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Acupuncture is additional modality to treat our patients in conjunction with conventional medical therapy or when conventional therapies have failed. Most people are surprised how well acupuncture is tolerated by both dogs and cats.
Acupuncture is used to treat a large variety of conditions in dogs and cats. Patients are most commonly seen for musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions, but acupuncture can also successful at treating many dermatologic, gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary disorders.

Canyon Animal Hospital loves to research alternative care and helps participate and educate when we can. Among other things we have done research for Shuzi and their Nano Vibration Technology and currently recommend and use their pet collars to help calm fractious animals.
